I want to buy an XC bike. I've looked high and low, and I found the Jamis Dakota Race (
https://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/dakotarace.html ). But, the city I live in doesn't have a dealer that sells Jamis bikes. According to Jamis's website, the nearest dealer that does is 4 hours away. So,what should I do?
(1) drive 4 hours away to the shop
(2) ask my local bike shop if they can buy from jamis anyways (What is the chance that this works?)
(3) find a different bike (There's dealers for Trek, Giant, Specialized, Cannondale, and Santa Cruz in my city, but apparently none of them can make a decent XC mountain bike.)
So, to avoid having to do #1, I've been trying to find a bike with the same specs and price point as the Dakota Race, but I can't find anything. Namely, I'm looking for a bike that has:
(1) a price around $2000
(2) hardtail frame
(3) steep (70-71 degrees) head angle
(4) 29 inch wheels
(5) 1x11 or 1x12 gearset
