My biggest problem with the game is having to replace trains every few years, it's kind of annoying once you get to about 20 train lines.
That said, couldn't you fix the first issue by setting up a circular track?
P.s. just downloaded Openloco yesterday, the fact that you can play in window mode is already a huge improvement.
