None of those things are impossible on flats. you can still pull up using the grip of a flat and the right foot angle and you can still mash and sprint on flats in a competitive setting, see lots of MTB events for instance, and installing power grips or any kind of strap system gives you all the advantages of flats and regular shoes as well as clipless.
