so there is a question of weight, not so much how much weight, more where it is placed, battery's included in this
if you are not going quickly unsprung mass may not matter all that much
weight hanging from the frame of the bike is not so uncomfortable as when weight is allowed to affect the wheels directly
this apply's to rigid frames but is more notable on suspend bikes, adjustable pre load is a must in that case, air springs are nice for this
