>>1770454The easy answer is "muh walkability", but first and foremost if I were founding a new city, I'd want it to be easy to connect to the global market from. Probably coastal, regional connectivity. From there, probably start building out a grid from the harbor area and add all the nice things like transit and walkability.
I unironically think that a city like Baltimore has ideal geography in that sense. It's a shame the city has been poorly managed or it'd be one of the most OP cities on the East Coast.
