how trickle can you even get? I know its a mantra that everything trickles down, but not to the same degree, quality STIs never trickled down as much as rims, quality mtb hydros never trickled down as much as quality pedals, suspensions forks never trickled down as much as alu handlebars etc.
There is stuff for certain tiers of use and some tiers are easier to trickle down that others, which is why entry level bikes are so expensive, they are trying to trickle down more complex technology like hydro discs, more cogs on the back etc. which an entry level user doesnt even need.
