>>1153108>Line 2 and 3's spurs at the end don't really seem to go anywhereLine 2 and 3 were made just to serve ghetto-like areas that could have survived with buses if these were some kind of frequent as there isn't much traffic there, hellish traffic starts at line 4 branch off point.
>Line 4 should definitely go to that tourist town in the southwest. It can't really do that because of terrain, but the right of way of an old narrow gauge railroad that was dismantled during ww2 to make guns and risks to be converted into a "green way" is almost intact from that town to not far from lines 2 and 3...
>half decent plan for the linkup with line 1 via the city centre, and isn't American right of way tierThe last plan they've come up with wouldn't really change much from the articulated buses we already have, as they mention the section will have slower speeds because of not having exclusive right of way (having it would be worse though) A grade separate link merging to a line going through the main north-south corridor (from mondello to the central station) would really be the only efficent solution (they also formerly wanted to do this)
>track from the ferry terminalThey're currently bulding this, it'd work nicely with a proper tram link and north-south (mondello-central station) line.
In the end the real problem is that they don't really think about making all this convenient to personal vehicles.
