Just bought this pristine 1989 tange steel mtb for a couple of hundred quid, also managed to source a pair of unused Farmer Johns that these bikes originally came with (although let's be honest, 30 year old tyres are not going to be particularly stable, but it's going to be 100% original and brochure pretty), I'll stick some panaracers on for actual riding and use the Farmer John's for show.
It's funny, I saw one of these posted on an earlier SiR thread a few weeks back and couldn't get it out of my mind, partly because I remember liking them back in the day but also because I thought it would make the basis for a sweet gravel bike build I was planning, a few weeks later and bingo, I'm the owner of perhaps the finest example of this particular model on Earth, assuming there aren't boxed ones kicking about. Anyway I have arrived at the conclusion that this board is blessed or is in some other way magical.
