And remember even if the Highway has a wide shoulder it probably isn't worth it. Highways are miserable fucking places you don't want to be. Can't listen to earpods because of road noise anyway. I'd rather pick a two-lane with no shoulder and 1 car / 10 min than a highway with a wide shoulder and 1 car / 30 sec.
Pick side roads, always.
