>>1913397The Thomson ironically is warranted because like you said the bike is a bit small for me (the stock seatpost at max height felt decent enough though, the whole reason I bought it), I was thinking of getting a lever-actuated dropper for the same $100 at the Thomson but the setback is super comfortable and helpful, the QR is nostalgic and doesn’t ruin the ride, and I’ve always thought Thomsons were cool (seatposts being expensive is obviously not cool, but looking at the Thompson weights today, they’re shockingly close or equal to carbon seatpost weight). I agree a shiny metal stem would look cooler, the cranks are actually new and I was sanding them down to polish, but my sander broke and I gave up and just mounted them instead, the black-aluminum fade is kinda growing on me. I made a conscious decision 4 years ago to switch to Nalgene-only water bottles, you show me 3L in 2 durable easy to clean bottles and I’ll think about switching.
I also have a YT Capra and a Specialized Bighit frame from 2007, the cannondale was actually supposed to be a pure road bike purchase but it caught my eye instead
Here’s another bike, with another Nalgene bottle
