Go anywhere that isn't a fancy bike shop selling $1000+ roadies and you'll see endless rows of knobbies, flat bars and suspension forks (with an occasional overpriced singlespeed that is marketed squarely at hipsters and women and somehow weighs 13 kilos). Most of those never leave the road, so why not offer something with rigid fork, thinner slick tires and more road-appropriate geometry to the masses?
