>>1721809The kit that I got, the Free Radical, cost about $250-300 for the the works: the frame extender, bags, etc. They made a second sturdier longtail kit (can't remember the name) that could handle larger loads more easily. For some reason they seem to have discontinued offering the kit only, now Xtracycle sells complete cargo bikes and frames; from their marketing it looks like they're trying to sell more to parents who want to haul small children as opposed to errand runners. The Xtracycle kits pop up every once in awhile on my local craigslist or on Ebay, listing for about the same as I paid originally, around $300, although some ask crazy prices. I'm not aware if another company offers something similar, most that are in the cargo bike business go with a dedicated bike/frameset rather than a conversion kit, with the really pricey electric versions getting a big push. Made a grocery run last night, pic related.
