>>1478284That's a late 90's Asolo with custom Pinarello Dolmen tubing, basically rebranded oversized Dedacciai Zero-Tre tubes. Back in the day they built mountain bikes with this stuff, Pinarello decided to build a road bike with it. The brand name Dolmen is Italian humour for "solid as a rock, weighs a ton, lasts forever". The previous owner slapped some Mavic CXP-30 rims on it, likely the single most overbuilt deep-v rims ever made and out came a road bike that was built to carry heavy loads and take tons of abuse.
Downsides are the missing rack, using a saddle bag turns you into a wheelie machine because the center of gravity is pushed back so far, I fixed that by clamping a tubus rack on it.Also I can't fit any tire over 25mm so definitely not a gravel bike and you risk a ruptured tube when you push it too hard with curbs and such and lastly the brakes are a little on the weak side when you ride with luggage, it works, but it could be better.
Other than that a very comfortable frame to ride on long runs.
