Why not just produce your own hydrogen by electrolysis then anyway? The airbus e-fan, a very tiny experimental aircraft can fly only for 30 minutes.
Hybrid systems on cars are only good because they absorb the breaking energy.. on aircraft there is no equivalent way to absorb energy, because even a turbine or propeller cannot absorb all of the energy from slowing down or descending and there is no need for this anyway because aircraft have flight paths that only ascend once and descend once.
Electrical systems might have a place though in producing distributed thrust though and it is a way to transfer energy from one engine or gas generator to a prop or fan.
