So, I’m struggling with the CPL ground school. I’m a leaf so basically what we have is one online course everyone takes to get it done.
I Could go on and on explaining what it’s like and what’s required but the tldr is I’m hitting the wall with it.
Feels like by the time I slog through the content the stuff I studied first gets forgotten and have a hell of a time retaining the more complex sections (aircraft performance, radio nav etc).
I was in this position last year too only after spending 2 months studying 6-8 hours a day, I didn’t get a Cat1 medical due to the govt not processing it until July (started in November).
So I couldn’t write the exam.
Now I’m in the position of essentially relearning everything and the weight of this is numbing.
I feel more retarded than before, I’ve never been very ‘studious’ but always seem to pull through, not so sure this time.
That being said, not going to quit and realize I need to put another 200~ hours into the books.
But fuck me, am I alone in this?
How do you guys deal with these issues? The feeling of just grinding away at it and not retaining things..
Idk. Do you guys have any suggestions or tips to help retain better?
Sleep, proper diet, restrict distractions, I’m trying to be better about it all, still coming up short.
