I am a total noob when it comes to bikes, i always had shitty ones where something would break, but i want to get started and buy a road bicycle, i live near the alps aswell so a bike that made it possible to go on daytrips would be ideal.
I don't have the budget for a carbon frame it seems or disc brakes, is aluminium really that bad to start out?
What's somewhat important to me is a light bike and durable components.
