I got a new job. Four miles from home home and I'm thinking about cycling to work as much as I can. I start next month and need to shop for accessories to make the commute comfortable and safe. So far I am looking at getting some 200+ lumen lights because I'm working until 18:00 and 20:00. The earliest sunset in December is 17:50 and about 2 miles of the route has no street lighting. The bus is cheap and takes a similar amount of time so I can always get that instead.
Any UK bros know if the cycle scheme is worth it for bikes/accessories? I usually buy things used but I was considering picking up a Pashley touring bike or something for that saving if it is appropriate for this route.
