>>1541307I recorded this lapped segment on my way to my local trails on a section of bike way (pointless recording it riding it through traffic where you are stopping every couple hundred meters for traffic lights). This was on a 2020 Norco Range C1 with an assegai on the front and a dissector on the rear doing a moderate effort with a cadence of 70-80 and no noticeable head or tail wind.
The limiting factor to going faster isn't a 1x12 drive train, it is the inefficiencies associated with the suspension, weight, tyres, and aerodynamics of a MTB. The only people who are capable of spinning out a 1x12 drive train on a MTB for an extended period of time would be people competing in a professional or semi-professional capacity.
