my trek has a 13-21 and 42/52. 42 and 21 is just barely too high for it to be the perfect gear ratio on flat. I maybe change up once or twice on the freewheel. This is just urban riding (social rides), I do my actual road riding on a bike with proper starting gears. Hills are like a brick wall on this thing.
