>>1181368>although some people here are fucked in the headwe got windows/OSX users on /g/ as well, I know what you're talking about
>sheldonbrown.comHoly shit, this is exactly what I was searching for, thank you so much!
>RJ the bike guy on youtube is pretty goodwill definitely check it out
>The bike you posted... is... a miserable experienceYou can bet your ass it is - imagine after being found in the forest. The only thing that actually works in that pile of garbage is its hydraulic brakes.
There is this guy from my office, he's the absolute hipster about everything. He falls for every single placebo I know: audiophile, craft beer collector, drinks self-ground coffee twice a month tops from his 500$ coffee machine, rides a $5000+ 29" fully suspended MTB in a city that's smooth as baby's asscheeks... well, you get the picture. I might try to get him to sell me his pic related, although I might want to size it first. He just left it in the office in a corner, never seen him using it. Do you think it's a good idea? How much would he ask me for that?
>>1181425I'm going to commute and do some random stuff around my area, which is in switzerland. It's kinda hilly, but not enough to justify a MTB.
>finding pieces from before 2008 is going to have you combing ebay for weeksOh, so as long as it's not dinosaur old - it'll work out well. Good to know
>>1181396>you need to chill out and realize the cycling industry is 99% fueled by buzz words and marketingall of the industry is fueled by buzzwords and marketing, sadly.
>90's rigid mtby'all bastards are trying to sell me on that - all right, I'll comb my local craiglist clone and see what I can find. Oh, and thanks for the sizing chart
>>1181510I like your analogy
