Surrey, British Columbia.
An LRT line is proposed to replace the 96 B-Line (express bus) running from Newton Exchange to Guildford Exchange, which are both transit exchanges. A connection to the SkyTrain Expo Line will be available at Surrey Central and King George Stations.
A second phase would run from Surrey City Centre to Langley (diagonal line) via the Fraser Highway.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfTDT8UMBIAThis proposal is controversial among the residents. An advocacy group, “SkyTrain for Surrey” is advocating for the 96 B-Line to be upgraded into a BRT (with additional extensions beyond Guildford and Newtown) and extending the SkyTrain to Langley.
SkyTrain for Surrey states that there are many flaws with the LRT; some major ones include reliability (service disruptions), safety (accidents with the LRT vehicles), and a negative impact on car traffic.
