Actually it's an interesting problem. I recently argued that the visual input was more important than the kinesthetic feedback, because it can be trained easily on a simulator, so it is more reproducible.
The end goal should be to tell the AoA just by looking out the window, using sight picture of the aircraft compared to the direction of travel which can be determined from visual parallax.
