My bike came with Kenda Small Block 8s, Im trying out a Kenda Nevegal in the front, and WTB Wolverine rear. This setup is definitely slower, but more stable and safer. After a few crashes, I decided extra grip is better than extra speed/ ease of pedalling. Even though the Nevegal is like a supercross tire, its not that bad on dry hardpacked dirt. Also my friends are slow riders.
The WTB feels similar to the sb8, maybe a bit more grip.
With the SB 8's, I would ride paved bike paths, they probably have a couple hundred miles on them. I would pump them up to 80psi and try my best to keep up with the roadies.
