it's excellent stuff but it's esoteric and more complicated. Best left to more experience people, or picked up if the bike jumps out at someone as a great deal or something they like anyway.
it's kinda like campagnolo
this idea that everyone has good deals on high end bikes is kind of ridiculous too. You're far more likely in most markets to be happy with anything cromo above entry level, exage, stx, that tier of stuff is perfectly fine.
