This is my second time as a captain after a short stint at the regionals. Most new FOs I fly with don’t have a degree either. Don’t know what the future holds, but I’m betting the degree as a hard requirement will be completely gone. I could see Delda with be the final holdout, but needing a degree is dumb boomer logic that’s dying out with them. I understand the history behind military officers becoming airline pilots, but the majority of new airline pilots are not coming from a military background.
