This might be where to ask it. I have a Specialised Allez and am looking at carrying my luggage without a backpack or racks. I will be commuting and longer rides at a generally slow pace so weight isn't a problem. I already have my spares and tools in a saddle bag and locks mounted to my frame. I would just be using it to carry food and spare clothes/different layers and maybe a map or two just in case my garmin gives out.
If I want to avoid a backpack which would be better - Handlebar bag or frame bag?
