What are some lines that just make sense that you haven't really seen anyone propose? For me, it's a 4th REM line along pic related that would replace the Mont-Saint-Hilaire exo line, but would also have a spur going through Greenfield Park through the rail corridor that would itself split, one spur going down the old Granby line that's been half abandoned half turned into a bike trail all the way to Marrieville (which would also be an ideal location for this line's yard) and another splitting off and going through Longuil and Brossard down to Candiac over the rail corridor. When coupled within connecting with the REM de la Rive Sud plan and both going down to Candiac you see where this gives the south shore suburbs a lot of connectivity between the three lines. This line would be about as large as the REM1 line but would be far less expensive since a significantly larger proportion of it will be at ground level, the only part that might be underground would be a tunnel under the canal, and while much of it would need to be elevated it wouldn't be be comparable or lower then the REM1's. The biggest wildcard expensive would be the modifications to the Victoria bridge or a second bridge being built, but a low to the ground bridge like that isn't comparable to tunnelling or something like the Champlain bridge.
