there are some sketchy zones, but easily avoidable. great landscapes and people is mostly super friendly. some countries are really cheap, others not so much.
the only thing that annoys me like hell is that people became very dirty in the last 20 years and you find garbage thrashed in mostly every road.
it wasn't like that in my ol'days (i'm 52). i guess that is not only that people became filthy, but that there is a lot more people and a lot of plastic thrash that was not around some years ago. but in some places people just get rid of their garbage by taking it to the outskirts of a town and dropping it at the side of the road. disgusting.
