>>1894983a lot of made in china fixies use it. even cinelli is now using the same seatpost but with their own columbus tubing. there are also ones that use a round 27.2mm seatpost with a wedge seat clamp. the idea is to have an aero tear drop profile but with a cut out for the rear wheel to close to the bottom bracket for rear triangle stiffness, short wheelbase geometry and to have a tight gap for aero reasons. in my case i have a 50/17 ratio with 94 chain links for an effective chainstay length of 378mm. on the fabricbike the rear brake bridge blocks the wheel so you need 96 chain links with the 48/16 ratio for a 401mm effective chainstay length.
