>>1545661but really. I'm a commuter doing 8 miles there and 8 back, traffic sometimes forces you to take on shit like this. There's no cobble in my city, I just want to develop a bike that has super responsive shocks, low travel and stiction. My bike shop guy tells me $500 isn't enough and that I need to drop closer to a grand but I feel like that's a bit absurd. I'll pay over $500 but there's got to be something magical about them, I'm not on a trail or doing jumps higher than two curbs stacked.
>>1545688I've got myself 48s, they're specialized tubeless [2bliss] Tracer that fucking kill it, I love my tires but I choose to run them at 60 psi and not 30 like I could because to me, speed and comfort are a balancing act.
I also have fat gel style grips on my handlebars and am in the process of doing something pretty unique to them to create vibration absorption, and I'll be buying the redshift shockstop stem sooner or later.
my bike is my car, I am in excellent shape because of this lifestyle, but I know I won't be able to keep it up into my 40s and 50s if I don't invest in some serious changes now.
