>>1634932i'm thinking of just doing part of the downtube closer to the bottom bracket area though like the black thing in pic related rather than the full length. the high energy impacts would be at a high speed and you would run into the stone with the lower part of the downtube before the stone has time to reach higher into the air. unless the tire can hold on to the stone and release it higher up which seems unlikely with road slicks.
