So, /n/ what airlines have you flown with and had your best experiences with?
And what's been your worst flight experience, which airline was responsible?
Reasons can include aircraft, customer service, delays, cancellations, routes, times and what not.
My favourite airline experience has been with Lufthansa, and it is still my recommended airline for anyone. I've flown on the Airbus A320 and A321 which Lufthansa operate, and most flights have been short haul flights lasting between 2-3 hours. In flight meals in economy class are great, always tasty, and cabin crew are always really friendly and nice. I've experienced many delays and cancellations with Lufthansa, and I've even had to deal with a flight I was not allowed to board thanks to an overbooking, but in all cases Lufthansa did a lot for customers. Most delays see drinks be served on the ground after you've been boarded on the aircraft. The one time I was denied boarding for an overbooking, Lufthansa put me on a flight to the same destination 4 hours later, and paid for a full dinner. One delay on the ground lasted 2 hours while sitting in the plane, and to pass the time, they allowed passengers to take tours of the cockpit. Last cancellation I had with Lufthansa was due to a lighting strike at Frankfurt airport, disabling the radar. Lufthansa put everyone in hotels, with free taxis, dinners, breakfasts and so on. Nothing stops me from flying Lufthansa other than cost.
Worst airline for me was Thomas Cook airlines, and on their A320. Seats were terrible, they were super strict on only having 5KG hand luggage (and considered laptops as a piece of hand luggage, wtf?), and they even lied to passengers about having a technical stop. Plus it was one of the few airlines which seem to mess up their pressurisation settings, which always gives me sinus pain. It's the only airline where I've seen cabin crew be rude to passengers.
So, /n/ what are your experiences?
