That being said even if you do it right and already have all the tools and bulk parts it's very little money for time put in. But it's a lot of fun, and people really appreciate a working bike. don't start doing it for money, do it because you like wrenching on bikes and want people to have good rides. You only make money if you're already hundred in the hole on parts and experience.
I find good used bikes for friends and fix them up, only charge them what I paid for the bike plus parts, and like $10-20 for beer. This makes me happy because
A) I get to wrench on cool bikes that I pick out, bring good solid frames back to life
B) I prevent people from wasting money on a Walmart shitter.
C) Getting more people riding bikes and seeing the fun in it
And everyone else loves it because they get a better bike for their dollar. Also it's nice to do things for your friends :')
