>>1494955Nobody claimed helmets keep you from dying if you get hit by car, they're more for protecting you from road hazards and your own fuckups - going OTB, misjudging a turn, pedal striking, losing control in a blowout, etc. Also things like getting door'd or clipped by a mirror or other sorts of "goomba touch damage" that makes your bike suddenly come to a stop and puts you at the mercy of inertia.
