If you consider anything within Boston Public Transit is fair game, it takes one hour to go from Riverside to downtown, despite being about 10-13 miles away (it's quicker by car by a third of the time, except in rush hour), then SLC should enjoy the same benefits by car (as you seem to be comparing). An hour from The Piano Place takes you as far south as Mona, or as far north as Brigham City. It means that you have access to 1.26 million people.
On some level, Boston would benefit because it is denser...but that's countered by higher rents, higher taxes, and so on, and STILL wouldn't be necessarily more successful because there's still an upper limit to how many people you could serve.
