You rationalize it to yourself in different ways, but you can’t just “pause” your home life while you’re on the boat, and that definitely has an effect on you.
But I doubt I’d want to go back to a shoreside job unless I went back to harbor towing or if I can eventually become a pilot (which is my end goal)
