Things like the 7 Stars are meant to be absurdly exclusive to the point where you can't pay your way to the front of the queue and there's only 20-30 people per train
GSR Platinum service probably does come close in ways but you're still on the same train as the plebs!
Admittedly, I'd like do the Ghan or IP in Gold before I die. But there's no chance in hell of getting a seat on any of the JR cruise trains, never mind the fare itself
Curiously, the cost of building the 7 Stars is less than whatever alstom crap the NSW Government is probably going to order for its Intercity order. I think it stands at about $7.5 million a carriage now. The N700A costs $3.2 million a carriage or thereabouts
