i'm assuming that the metal part of my BSA shell doesn't need to be chased/faced, but there is paint on half of the face. what's a good way to remove the paint? since the paint is only on one side, i don't think i should use a glass pane that covers the entire face. i was thinking 1200 grit sandpaper soaked overnight in soapy water, wrapped against the side of a lego brick? the lego is because lego bricks are supposed to be made with incredibly tight tolerances. i don't know what a more appropriate sanding block would be. would you suggest a different grit of sandpaper?
