>>1086242As far as I know, Japanese have very strict building code ruled by zoning, so they use it as efficiently as possible. They have limits on buildings width and height, so they make these mini "high-rise" style buildings.
Personally I think it looks much better than huge blocks of glass or concrete, like most of the big high-rise buildings.
