Those are lead batteries, right? They have their points, like being crazy powerful and good in the cold, but that's not what you need. Try them for a few cycles, see how far they'll take you, but if they're sulfated there's no fixing them. The lead is worth money as scrap metal, not much but enough. If you have a source of 18650s and can solder them into a large enough array, that would be the way to go.
