15 minutes here, 10 there, 20 on commute, then back, and you need to refill your tank.
Then there are the insurance, oil, parts and repairs, and the cost of the car itself.
I would love to get a nice vintage car (or a dozen), but I don't want the car to own me.
For commuting I can get a $1000 bike and enjoy the commute itself, which I can see as being just a small fraction of car expenses, especially if I had to use one for commuting.
