I wasn't going to do it this year, but I went and made a map for my Garmin that shows the roads I haven't covered this year. Until it warms up I've been covering all the roads in my area, yet again. In some areas its easier to just pick up a few roads each time I pass through rather than looping around. When picking off roads that way its a lot easier to have the unvisited roads marked on the gps.
Tomorrow will be warm enough I can take a break from that non-sense and do a highway ride before the temperature goes back below freezing Saturday.
City is pleading coronavirus poverty. It sounds like they are going to cancel most non-essential construction projects. So yet another year with fuck all for cycling improvement. Probably not a bad idea as everything they've built lately is either completely unusable or extremely dangerous. They never ask for consultation, so every now and then I come across something idiotic they built.
Like pic related that popped up late in the fall. A short quiet street where you could easily ride on the wide shoulder. Then they slapped in a bi-directional bike lane, where the curb lane is perpetually buried in sand. So instead of being out of the way of vehicle traffic I have to use the driving lanes now.
