The last Tatra type invented and produced by ČKD. RT6N1 was partially low-floor with turnable bogies. Prototype produced in 1993 meant a huuuge step in production after the series of high-sloor T6s and KT8s. And keep in mind that the tram was produced almost all by domestic early post-socialistic know-how and means of production. In the whole former eastern bloc this tram was like a miracle. However the ČKD factory got into serious economical dificulties, there was no demand for modern and expensive trams in the domestic market and the factory had no money to fix the minor but serious problems that always belong to something when you produce it for the first time. Only few models were produced, nowadays in service only in Poznań, Poland. Picture from Brno which was the last Czech city to have them in service.
