Guys, I'd really appreciate if you could give me some input because you seem to know your stuff and my question is fairly easy. Thank you in advance.
>want to build up a nice 26 retro MTB
>want to have the ability to switch between single speed and 1x11 with the same crank
>problem: I have really strong legs and I need something like a 44t chainring to not constantly spin out
>all 1x11 setups I see have tiny chainrings like 34t
Is it even possible to run a 44t chainring in a 1x11 setup?
The single speed chainline can easily be adjusted with spacers, but the 1x11 chainline probably won't work since the large ring will hit the chainstay, no?
