All my simmer students weren't great right off the bat, they just picked it up alot quicker as we did more lessons.
Main thing that's different is you feel the weight of the controls and rather than moving them, you're just applying pressure if that makes sense. And also depth perception and where you're looking when you land is going to be way different. Unless you fly in VR or something it's going to take some time to even understand where the wheels are above the runway.
