Texas is the 4th largest state for venture capital funding. It will grow and grow regardless, it is in a strategic location in the middle of the country. They chose to build a city of shit with all that money.
look at the center of the city from ground level. No shops or bars, no street vendors, no pedestrians. Just offices and elevators. It's not a city. You can go several blocks in the center and find literally nothing but walls and unlabeled doors. It's weird as hell. In my city you can't walk ten feet without finding 50 trendy shops catering to every desire you can possibly have.
