Many American towns and cities used to sell their recycling to China for example, some of which would find its way into local waters. My town's recycling service cost spiked once China stopped buying our shit lol. Many computer parts find their way back to India and the like too, so little kids can melt them down for raw materials (and melt their brain while they are at it). And don't forget how the West doesn't even bother making most of its own consumer goods anymore... but oy vey, it's China's fault for having such high CO2 emissions, pay no attention to who is buying that crap.
