Although I must say some 1st-world-tier railways can be kinda fun, like when they have a single track street-running section, or right on the side of the street. Switzerland has a few of those. But I agree that semi-ruined transportation is pure kino. I got to ride the Istanbul suburban railway (euro side) like 15 years ago, way before the Marmaray project. It used some old french trains from the 50s-60s, and the kids would hang on to them while in motion, or force open the doors to enter. Crazy shit, absolutely 3rd world, 10/10 would shithole again.
While I've got you on the line, any news on the monorail getting replaced by tram? Any chance the northwestern tram system may get joined up with the other system along that line?
