Well, a 30 minute walk is an 8 minute bike ride. If you save 22 minutes twice a day and work 225 days a year, you would save 1,000 hours over 6 years, which is a low estimate for long you'd be using an e-bike before replacing it, and if it costs 1,000 bucks for a reasonably value oriented model you'd pay around one buck per hour of your time saved. The only downside is an e-bike locked up at the station would be gone within a week, so you'd need to get a folding one that you can take on the train and to the office with you, and those are a bit of a pain to lug around as they weigh 20 kilos. So hopefully your office isn't on the fifth floor with no elevator.
