Firstly, aesthetics obv.
Secondly, the "nose" can be used to hide a coupler, so that when not in use it's less dangerous in case of an accident. Or the other way around, that space would be useless anyway because the coupler is there, so might as well make it aero for aesthetics.
And thirdly I think the tilted windshield prevents glare (iirc that's why PCCs had a tilted windshield).
